Hey!
It’s officially draft season, which means it’s time to uncover the players who could win you a league like Chris Olave and George Pickens did last year.
Let’s break it down:
#5 Matthew Golden
Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks are both gone (131 targets vacated) and Golden is set to take over the X receiver role.
Christian Watson and Jayden Reed are his main competition and both come with real injury history.
Golden played in 2 WR sets in the Packers family night game, his role is set to grow massively this season in a Top 10 offense…
#4 Rome Odunze
Through 4 weeks last year before injuries hit, Odunze averaged 17.4 fantasy points per game on 8.8 targets a game. Elite production
Now DJ Moore is gone (85 targets vacated) and Odunze slides right into the X role with Luther Burden currently injured in camp.
Loveland & Burden are the exciting younger players, but Odunze is a Top 10 NFL Draft pick with incredible talent. He’s a league winning sleeper in the middle rounds…
#3 Jacory Croskey-Merritt
I was never super high on JCM last season or even earlier this summer.
But all the reports out of camp are the he’s the guy in Washington this year and the team is working on his pass-catching skills so he can be a 3-down back.
He’s never been a pass-catcher in his college or NFL career, but if the team is committing to using him in this role and it actually pays off… he becomes a league winner in Round 10…
#2 Brock Bowers
He has been a Top-4 TE two straight years with 2 of the worst QB rooms in football.
Now the Raiders take Fernando Mendoza (41 college TDs last season, 1st in CFB) and Klint Kubiak comes in as OC. His 2025 Seattle offense ranked 3rd in the NFL in scoring.
Bowers in late Round 2 is great given his current competition of Tre Tucker, Jack Bech and Jalen Nailor…
#1 Emeka Egbuka
He was a Top-15 WR for the first 10 weeks of his rookie year and then played the rest of it with hip and hamstring injuries and with an injured QB.
Through Weeks 1-10 Egbuka averaged 14.1 points per game on a 25% target share. From Weeks 11-18 it cratered to 4.7 points per game after him and Baker’s injuries.
But Mike Evans is now gone (110 targets vacated) and new OC Zac Robinson used his WRs creatively with the Falcons last year…
