Hey!
It’s fantasy championship week, and this is not the time to get cute with your lineups.
Here are 5 running backs you should lock into your lineup for Week 17 fantasy football:
#5 Rhamondre Stevenson - volume swing play
TreyVeon Henderson left last week with a head injury and did not return.
Stevenson stepped in and played 83% of the snaps, turning just 10 touches into 78 yards and a touchdown.
He’s now cleared 75+ yards in 3 straight games, and the matchup lines up perfectly.
New England faces the Jets, who allow the 5th-most rushing yards per game. If Henderson is out, Stevenson is a clear start…
#4 Kenneth Gainwell - quietly a fantasy starter
Gainwell has forced a real split backfield and has become Aaron Rodgers go-to target.
Last week, he played a team-high 54% of the RB snaps & earned 128 yards on 14 touches.
Even more telling, he’s now seen 7 targets in 3 straight games and ranks Top-5 among RBs in receptions & receiving yards. At this point, Gainwell belongs in fantasy lineups…
#3 Chris Rodriguez - lead back, great matchup
Rodriguez continues to operate as Washington’s clear lead runner.
Last week, he earned 60% of the backfield carries and was the only RB to play more than 25% of the snaps. That workload led to 16 touches and a touchdown.
Now he draws Dallas, who allow the 8th-most rushing yards per play and the 2nd-most rushing TDs. You can start Rodriguez with confidence…
#2 Michael Carter - the role + the matchup
In his 1st game with Bam Knight on IR, Carter led the backfield with 54% of the snaps.
The box score was modest, but the role was exactly what we want to see. And now he faces Cincinnati, the worst defense in football against running backs.
They allow the most fantasy points per game, over 155 rushing yards per contest, and 5.3 yards per carry. This is a perfect setup for Carter in Week 17…
#1 Tony Pollard – sneaky league winner
Pollard is peaking at the right time.
He’s gone over 100 total yards in 3 straight games and has scored 3 touchdowns during that stretch.
Plus he can earn $500,000 over the next 2 weeks if he hits yardage and TD incentives.
This week he faces the Saints 28th-ranked tackling defense. Start Tony Pollard.
