Everything you know about fantasy football just changed...

Hey!

The second week of preseason is in the books and a ton just happened.

Here are 20 preseason updates you must know that actually matter for fantasy football:

TreVeyon Henderson played 60% of the 1st team snaps and turned this usage into 4 touches for 20 yards and 1 TD. It’s worth noting Rhamondre Stevenson didn’t play in this game but you can expect Henderson to keep rising in drafts the next 2 weeks…

Brock Bowers only played 47% of the Raiders first team snaps and was rotating with TE Michael Mayer who played 67% of the first team snaps. It's not panic time yet – but this isn't great. Especially since the team has expressed interest in getting Mayer more involved…

Breece Hall played 61% of the Jets first team offense snaps. This was better than the 3-way split last week - but Isaiah Davis did miss this game with an ankle injury. And Hall still split the carries 7 to 5 with Braelon Allen. Not ideal…

Ashton Jeanty played a whopping 93% of the Raiders first team snaps and turned this usage into 8 touches for 35 yards and a score. Jeanty could see 300+ touches as a rookie...

Ricky Pearsall played 82% of the 49ers first team snaps. Pearsall turned this usage into 3 catches for 42 yards on 4 targets. Brandon Aiyuk isn't expected to be back until at least Week 6. There’s a chance Pearsall is the WR1 for the 49ers Week 1...

Omarion Hampton played 100% of the Chargers 1st team snaps and ran a route on all 6 of the Chargers dropbacks. Hampton continues to have little competition for touches with Najee injured. He remains a strong target in Round 3-4 of fantasy drafts…

Nick Chubb played 79% of the Texans first team snaps and saw 100% of the backfield opportunities with the starting offense. Joe Mixon still doesn’t have a timeline for a return from an ankle/foot injury. Chubb is trending to start Week 1…

Tyrone Tracy played 75% of the Giants starter snaps and saw 7 carries to just 1 for Devin Singletary. Note: Cam Skattebo missed this game with a hamstring injury and his Week 1 status is in question...

Jordan Mason rested with the Vikings starters in the 2nd preseason game. This is in line with reports that the team views him as the ‘1B’ in this backfield next to Aaron Jones…

Chuba Hubbard played 71% of the Panthers first team snaps and saw the only backfield touches in this game with the starting unit. But it’s worth noting Rico Dowdle was the 3rd down back with the starters once again...

Tyler Warren played 93% of the Colts starter snaps and also ran a route on 10 of 11 Daniel Jones dropbacks. This lead to a team-high 3 targets among first team players...

The Raiders starting WRs remain Jakobi Meyers, Dont’e Thornton and Tre Tucker. All 3 played 87% of the first team snaps on Saturday. 4th round rookie Thornton remains ahead of 2nd rounder Jack Bech right now…

Xavier Hutchinson started in 3 WR sets for the Texans over rookie Jayden Higgins. Hutchinson played 71% of the first team snaps while Higgins played just 14%. Higgins has had strong camp but ideally we would’ve seen starter usage in this game...

Will Shipley rested with the Eagles starting offense. Meanwhile AJ Dillon played in the second preseason game. This suggests Shipley has won the RB2 job in Philly...

Chig Okonkwo has played 22 of 23 snaps with the Titans starting offense through 2 preseason games. This role would suggest a large increase from his 61% snap share last season. Okonkwo is a late round TE option with little target competition besides Calvin Ridley…

Jaylen Warren rested again with the Steelers starters. And Kenneth Gainwell played ahead of Kaleb Johnson for the 2nd straight preseason game. It’s also not a great sign that Johnson was playing into the 3rd quarter…

JK Dobbins rested with the Broncos started. This could be an indication that they view him as their starter over RJ Harvey - or it could be a veteran rest day while letting the rookie get some run. I wouldn’t read too much into this right now…

Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland split starter snaps for the Bears. Both TEs played at least 64% of the snaps but Kmet was used slightly more...

Olamide Zaccheaus played ahead of Luther Burden as the Bears slot WR. Zaccheaus played 64% of the starter snaps and scored a 36-yard TD on this usage. Meanwhile Burden played 0 snaps with the 1st team…

Marshawn Lloyd had hamstring tightness after the Packers game. This is unfortunate as Lloyd just returned from a groin injury. And he missed 16 games as a rookie with 3 separate issues. Lloyd’s Week 1 status is now in question…
