Hey!
I’ve received plenty of questions about players who had poor performances in Week 3. There’s a lot of panic going around.
Let’s talk about the players that people are panicking about the most right now:
#3 Omarion Hampton
It’s time to panic on Omarion Hampton. Not only does the Chargers offense look lost after 3 weeks, but Hampton’s role just got much worse.
In Week 3, Hampton played just 42% of the snaps and ran just SIX routes. Keaton Mitchell played 38% of the snaps and ran more routes. Mitchell also stole a redzone carry.
The Chargers had 3 backs involved this past week. Even Kimani Vidal played 27% of the snaps, not good.
It’s close to full panic on Hampton, who looks like he’s in a messy split backfield on a bad offense all of a sudden…
#2 Drake Maye
It’s full panic on Maye. You cannot start him heading into Week 4 against the Bills.
In Week 3, he had 2 fumbles, 2 interceptions and 199 scoreless passing yards. Maye missed multiple throws including a would-be touchdown to Demario Douglas.
He’s failed to top 10 fantasy points in any start this season. He’s a bench player moving forward…

#1 Chase Brown
There’s some panic on Brown considering you likely spent a Top 15 pick on him, but I’m not overly concerned.
Brown only had 69 scoreless yards in Week 3 despite his team putting up 27 spots and over 350 total yards of offense.
The good news? He’s still the lead back in a strong offense.
The bad news? Samaje Perine is playing on 3rd downs and the Bengals passing offense may be so good downfield that Brown doesn’t see many goal-line touches.
I’m worried about that 3rd down role, but I’m not overly panicked yet…
