Hey!
Quick tip for today - and it might go against what most people tell you:
Sometimes the “safe” pick in your draft is actually the worst pick you can make.
Every year, certain players slide down draft boards because they feel risky.
Rookies. Young guys coming off injuries. Players changing teams.
And because they don’t “feel” safe… they often become the biggest steals in the draft.
Here’s what I look for:
In the middle rounds, while everyone’s grabbing the same familiar names, I’m searching for upside picks no one wants to touch.
Those picks might feel uncomfortable… but they’re how you end up with a Top-10 player at a Round 5 price.
This year, for example:
Most people are loading up on guys like Mike Evans or Jameson Williams in Round 4-5.
Meanwhile, Tetairoa McMillan is sitting in the same range - and he might have WR1 volume if things break right.
It’s not always a flashy pick. But it’s different. And sometimes that’s exactly how you win.
Like last year, when rookie Malik Nabers was taken after guys like Rachaad White and Michael Pittman - but then Nabers finished as a Top 10 WR at a Round 4 price tag.
Bottom line:
Don’t be afraid to draft differently.
The players who scare your league-mates are often the ones who make the biggest difference in winning your league.
See you tomorrow with another tip!
