Stop believing these 3 fantasy draft myths

These tips used to work. Not anymore...

Rankings. Podcasts. Threads. YouTube clips. Articles. Discords.

Let’s be honest—there’s a lot of fantasy football content out there.

I would know, I’m on a few of those platforms too.

So if you’ve ever felt something like…

  • “I’ll just do my own research when I get a spare second.”

  • “I’ll grab free advice online on my break.”

  • “I’ll wing it on draft day and figure it out as I go.”

…you’re not alone. Honestly? That used to be me, too.

Myth #1: “I’ll Just Do My Own Research”

If you’ve got the time to read hundreds of articles and track every depth chart shift this offseason while also getting to the heart of every stat that matters, that’s awesome. Go for it.

But most people don’t—and, more importantly, you shouldn't have to. You’ve got a life. A job. Maybe a family. You shouldn’t have to spend 40+ hours a week sorting through the fantasy football matrix just to stay competitive.

Myth #2: “There’s Free Rankings Everywhere”

This is definitely true. Free rankings are out there everywhere you turn. But there are two things about free advice you should know:

  1. Everyone in your league is reading the same stuff

  2. It’s probably free for a reason.

Myth #3: “I’ll Just Use ADP”

This is one that isn’t so much an active thought as it is a default setting for people. The folks at Yahoo and ESPN (or wherever you’re drafting) make it “easy” on everyone.

ADP, or Average Draft Position, is a crowd-sourced average. Meaning everyone has an equal say in the rankings. And that’s not where we want to be.

ADP is like working on a group project—with the same people who always finish middle-of-the-pack. Or worse, never even show up on presentation day.

Here’s the truth…

You could spend weeks researching every stat, roster change, ranking system, and sleeper article out there. You’d do fine.

Or…

You could open The Fantasy Blueprint and have all that work already done, in one simple, proven system.

  • Rankings with color-coded tiers

  • Cheat code metrics that actually predict fantasy points

  • Waiver wire plans, trade targets, and weekly streaming guidance

  • Built and updated by one trusted voice: me

It’s everything you need—without the noise, fluff, or groupthink.

No guessing. No scrambling.

Just a full-season system designed to help you win.

Let’s start myth-busting this season.
