The #1 Fantasy Draft Myth You Need to Stop Believing

Too many people fall for this trap every single year...

I’m back with a strategy tip.

And this one could save you from a brutal draft-day mistake.

Let’s talk about a phrase you’ll hear a lot over the next few weeks:

“This running back is set up for 20 touches a game. That’s all that matters.”

It sounds good. Volume is king, right? But here’s the problem:

What if those 20 touches come behind a bad offensive line?

What if the scheme is broken… or the RB lacks explosiveness… or the pass-catching role goes to someone else?

That “opportunity” quickly turns into 20 empty touches and 60 miserable yards. This was the trap with Zamir White last year.

Yes, he had volume. But he ran behind one of the league’s worst offensive lines, wasn’t involved much as a receiver, and had clear flaws in the passing game.

It was only a matter of time before the coaching staff replaced him.

He finished the year as a wasted pick in most leagues - and it was predictable if you looked beyond the surface - especially when he started going too high in drafts.

So here’s the takeaway:

Opportunity matters. But talent, situation, and role matter more.

Don’t just chase touches. Draft smarter.
