Hey!
I’m back today to let you know about the top waiver adds at each position for Week 3. The only criteria here is that these players are available in at least 45% of leagues.
Let’s dive in, starting with the running back position…
RB: Bhayshul Tuten
In Week 1, Tuten barely played - just 3 carries for 11 yards, no targets, and 6% of snaps while sitting behind Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby. Then Bigsby was traded to the Eagles, and suddenly the opportunity was there in Week 2.
Tuten delivered with 8 carries for 42 yards (5.3 YPC), 2 catches for 32 yards and a receiving TD - totaling 14.4 fantasy points.
The volume wasn’t huge yet, but the efficiency jumped off the page: 10 touches on 18 snaps, 74 total yards, 7.4 yards per touch…
WR: Cedric Tillman
Tillman is the locked in X receiver for this team.
Week 1: 8 targets, 5 catches, 52 yards, and a TD (13.7 points)
Week 2: 7 more targets, 1 touchdown
Tillman played 95% of snaps and ran routes on 94% of dropbacks in Week 2. That’s true every-down WR1 usage. And in the NFL’s most pass-heavy offense through 2 weeks (46.5 attempts per game), that kind of locked-in role is a cheat code…
TE: Juwan Johnson
Tight end is ugly right now - which makes raw volume all the more valuable.
Through 2 weeks, Johnson has 20 targets. Week 1 was 11 looks, 8 catches, 76 yards. Week 2 was another 9 targets against the 49ers (a defense that usually erases tight ends), and he still went for 49 yards and a touchdown.
The usage is elite: nearly every snap, nearly every route, and a 26.5% target share with Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill sidelined. In a Saints offense that’s throwing close to 40 times per game, Johnson is functioning as a high-volume safety valve…
QB: Daniel Jones
Jones faced a tough Broncos defense in Week 2 and still came away as a Top 12 fantasy QB. He added another rushing score at the goal line - reminding us why his rushing ability is so valuable.
If you’re a Joe Burrow manager or just streaming, Jones should be near the top of your list. His legs give him a weekly fantasy floor, and he’s available in well over half of leagues right now…
That’s it for today — four players you can actually plug in and feel good about heading into Week 3.
