The #1 Waiver Wire Add at Each Position (Week 4)

Don't miss out on these players...

I’m back today to let you know about the top waiver adds at each position for Week 4.

The only criteria here is that these players are available in at least 50% of leagues.

Let’s dive in, starting with the running back position…

RB: Trey Benson

Benson has been one of the most efficient backs in football: Top-10 in target share, true yards per carry, explosive play rate, and first in yards created per touch.

And in Week 3, his role took a major leap forward. James Conner went down with what looks like a season-ending injury, and Benson immediately stepped in. He handled 75% of the carries and played the majority of snaps.

Conner has been a workhorse for years - now Benson inherits that exact role. Efficiency plus opportunity is the perfect combination…

WR: Luther Burden

Burden was an early second-round pick by the Bears, but after a quiet start he was dropped in a lot of leagues. On Sunday, he showed why that was a mistake: 3 catches, 101 yards, and a touchdown to lead Chicago’s receivers.

The playing time is still limited - he’s logged just 14 snaps in three-receiver sets through 3 weeks - but he’s making big plays whenever he’s on the field.

He’s not startable yet, but this is the kind of talent you stash before the breakout role arrives…

TE: Hunter Henry

Henry popped in Week 1, disappeared in Week 2, and then came back with a monster game in Week 3: 8 catches, 90 yards, and 2 touchdowns.

That pushes him into the Top-8 tight ends for receptions (13) and yards (165) so far. Touchdowns help, but the playing time is what really stands out. His 86% snap rate is showing that he’s locked into a near every-down role.

Tight end is thin, and Henry looks like a steady borderline starter the rest of the way…

QB: Geno Smith

The Raiders are Top-10 in passing volume because they’re constantly playing from behind, and Smith is taking shots - his 9.8-yard average depth of target ranks fourth in the league.

In Week 3, he completed 19 of 29 passes for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns. The schedule isn’t perfect, but a matchup with Chicago next week makes him immediately streamable…

That’s it for today - four players you can actually plug in and feel good about heading into Week 4.
