Hey!

Round 1 is officially in the books, and fantasy football just got flipped on its head.

Here are the 8 biggest takeaways you need to know from Round 1:

#1 Cam Skattebo (Winner)

The Giants passing on Jeremiyah Love is the best news Skattebo could've asked for, he's the Day 1 starter as long as he's healthy Week 1.

And it gets better because he's got a new Top 10 OT to run behind in Francis Mauigoa.

Mauigoa started 42 straight games at Miami and allowed just 10 pressures last year, the lowest rate for any tackle in all of college football.

When Skattebo played over 50% of Giants snaps last season, he averaged 96 total yards and 19.1 fantasy points per game…

#2 Jadarian Price (Winner)

Price is headed to Seattle and he did it with 1st round draft capital.

That alone tells you how the Seahawks view him. But the depth chart makes it even better.

Seattle no longer has Kenneth Walker, and Zach Charbonnet likely isn't back until November. That makes Price the likely Week 1 starter ahead of Emanuel Wilson and George Holani.

Last season behind Jeremiyah Love, he racked up 734 yards on 6 yards per carry…

#3 Geno Smith (Winner)

Geno had maybe the best Round 1 of any QB in the league, he gets both Kenyon Sadiq and Omar Cooper.

Sadiq is a freak athlete who profiles as a "big slot" type. Cooper is a physical receiver with elite YAC ability and strong ball skills.

Pair those 2 rookies with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, and suddenly Geno's working with one of the most improved skill groups in the league…

#4 Jeremiyah Love (Winner)

He secured Top 5 RB draft capital landing with the Cardinals at Pick 3.

Historically, this type of draft capital makes him a can't-miss fantasy player. Here's what jumps off his college profile:

He was tied with Saquon Barkley for the most 20+ yard TD runs in their college careers. Zero career fumbles, and he's an excellent pass catcher on top of it.

Trey Benson and/or James Conner will likely be released this offseason. Tyler Allgeier was signed in free agency and looks like a clear backup now.

Love has a clean path to workhorse usage…

#5 Cam Ward (Winner)

The Titans grabbed WR Carnell Tate at #4 overall, and that's massive for Ward's Year 2 outlook.

Tate brings elite hands, strong body control, and a polished overall skillset.

Here's the new WR room Ward gets to work with:

  • Wan'Dale Robinson

  • Chimere Dike

  • Calvin Ridley

  • Carnell Tate

Much more versatile, much more upside…

#6 Tony Pollard (Winner)

Everyone expected Jeremiyah Love to land in Tennessee at Pick 4. But Arizona took him at #3. That makes Pollard a big winner.

The Titans only added Michael Carter in free agency, a depth body, not a threat.

Pollard now profiles as the clear RB1 entering his age 29 season.

Over the final 5 games of last year, he averaged 107 total yards per game…

#7 Chris Olave (Loser)

Olave's a slight Round 1 loser because a new Top 10 prospect just walked into his WR room in Jordyn Tyson.

Here's why it matters: Olave thrived on volume last year, 5th in the NFL in targets.

That number was always going to come back down. But with Tyson now in the mix, it's going to drop harder. We're likely looking at 20-30+ fewer targets this season…

#8 Shedeur Sanders (Winner)

This one surprised a lot of people but Shedeur walked away a big winner on Night 1.

He gets a top WR in KC Concepcion and an elite tackle in Spencer Fano.

Concepcion was a target earner all 3 college seasons and is arguably the best route runner in the entire class.

Fano is an elite athlete who holds up in both the run and pass game.

Shedeur is firmly the Browns QB1 with Dillon Gabriel as his backup…

That's the Round 1 fantasy shakeup.
