Hey!

Some of the biggest names on 2026 draft boards are actually traps this year.

I pulled 4 of the most popular draft-day picks in fantasy right now, and every one of them has major flaws that makes them an avoid right now.

Here are 4 players to let your leaguemates draft instead this season:

#4 Trey McBride

He was the TE1 last year and led every TE in the NFL in targets, target share, and routes run. The problem is he did most of it with Brissett, who's dealing with contract issues and could get replaced by rookie Carson Beck.

Marvin Harrison is openly seeking a bigger role and Michael Wilson just quietly went for 1006 yards last season. McBride is being drafted at his ceiling and Brock Bowers is going 1 pick earlier with 0 target competition and a likely better QB situation…

#3 Tetairoa McMillan

He won offensive rookie of the year last season. McMillan put up legit rookie production, but the ceiling was capped. Only 1 game above 18 fantasy points all year. And Bryce Young didn't crack the Top 10 in a single major passing category.

Now rookie Chris Brazzell comes in and both Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette are still around. Garrett Wilson, Ladd McConkey, and Josh Jacobs are all going in the same range as McMillan and offer a higher floor and ceiling combination.

#2 Emeka Egbuka

His rookie year was 2 totally different stories. Through Week 5 he was a league-winner earning 18 points per game. From Week 6 on, due to injury, he cratered to 6.2 points per game with just 1 TD the rest of the way.

Baker Mayfield fell off a cliff as well in 2025. Partially due to injuries but also his play when healthy was not good either. Despite Mike Evans leaving, the Bucs WR room is still a bit crowded with Godwin and McMillan. Tampa is also on their 5th OC in 5 years…

#1 Harold Fannin

His rookie target share was elite (5th in the NFL at TE), but everything that made it work is about to get worse. The Browns added 2 rookie WRs in KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston who are going to eat directly into his target share.

The QB room is still a disaster (Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders & Deshaun Watson, none move the needle). Meanwhile, Tucker Kraft and Kyle Pitts go within a few picks of Fannin…
