Hey!
Every year certain Wide Receivers standout and win fantasy leagues. And every year there are patterns that hint at who those players will be.
Here are 4 wide receivers I'm targeting in every draft I'm doing right now:
#4 Jaylen Waddle
A team just gave up a 1st round pick for this guy & he's still going as a 5th round pick…
Bo Nix threw the ball more than any QB in the NFL last year (612 attempts, 71 deep balls, 87 red zone attempts). That’s insane volume.
Waddle also finished 10th in yards per route run despite Miami's offense being one of the worst in football. He's a strong pick in Round 5…
#3 Ladd McConkey
He was a top WR as a rookie and the guy who led this team in targets last season just walked out the door.
From Weeks 5-10 last year McConkey averaged 14.5 points per game on a 25.5% target share before injuries derailed his season.
Keenan Allen is now gone (122 targets vacated) and Mike McDaniel is the new OC. His 2023 Dolphins offense led the NFL in total yards and passing yards…
#2 Terry McLaurin
His offensive coordinator said out loud that he wants McLaurin at 10 targets per game.
2025 was a lost year for him due to his own injuries & injuries to his QB. But in 2024 he finished as the WR15 with 13 total TDs alongside a healthy Jayden Daniels.
Deebo Samuel and Zach Ertz are now gone (171 targets vacated) and only 32 year old Stefon Diggs was brought in as a serious replacement.
At this stage in his career, Diggs is mostly a limited slot WR, McLaurin is still the clear WR1 here…
#1 AJ Brown
He just had the worst season of his career and it was still a Top 12 finish in fantasy points per game.
Over the last 4 seasons his average are: 131 targets, 1259 yards and 8 TDs. Elite.
Now he lands with Drake Maye, who was 1st in the NFL in yards per attempt (8.9) with 70 deep balls (4th) and 31 passing TDs (3rd) last season. Wheels up for AJ Brown…
