Hey!
We’re back with trades - the most underrated way to win in fantasy football.
After 2 weeks, box scores are creating overreactions everywhere. Managers see ugly stat lines and panic. But usage? Usage tells the truth.
Here are 3 wide receivers whose roles are way more valuable than their fantasy points suggest right now:
Brian Thomas Jr.
He ended his rookie year looking like a monster. From Weeks 13 through 18, with Mac Jones of all quarterbacks, he was the WR2 in fantasy at 22.9 points per game.
That’s why he was drafted as a borderline first-rounder this year. And while expectations were high with Trevor Lawrence back, the first 2 weeks look ugly: 1 catch for 11 yards in Week 1 then 4 for 49 in Week 2.
But here’s the thing: the usage is elite. Thomas has run nearly every route with a 26% target share through 2 weeks. He even dropped two would-be touchdowns last week while battling a minor wrist issue.
Nothing has changed about his role. He’s still Lawrence’s featured weapon, and the offense will only improve. Buy low while you still can…
Calvin Ridley
Ridley has run 90%+ of routes each game with strong target shares. The production just hasn’t followed yet: 11 catches for 84 yards total and under 10 fantasy points in both games.
But look at the context: the Titans opened against Denver and the Rams, two strong defenses. Ridley’s role hasn’t gone anywhere, and softer matchups are coming.
Chris Olave
This season, he’s been moved into a full-time slot role and the targets have exploded: 13 in Week 1, 10 in Week 2.
Through 2 games he’s already at 23 targets, nearly a 29% share, and he hasn’t come off the field. The issue? Just 108 yards and no touchdowns so far.
The Saints offense under Kellen Moore is throwing more than ever. Spencer Rattler is averaging 40 attempts per game, top five in the league. They’re trailing, they can’t run, and Olave is their clear top option.
Production will catch up to volume here. Buy low…
These are 3 receivers I’m sending trades for right now and you should too.
