Hey!
We’re back with trades - the most underrated way to win in fantasy football.
After 3 weeks, box scores are creating overreactions everywhere. Managers see ugly stat lines and panic. But usage? Usage tells the truth.
Here are 3 running backs whose roles are way more valuable than their fantasy points suggest right now:
#3 Josh Jacobs
Jacobs is the perfect buy-low RB. The production hasn’t popped, but the usage is elite.
In Week 3 he logged 16 carries for just 30 yards, but his O-Line was banged up against the Browns #1 ranked run defense. However Jacobs saw 9 targets and caught 5 for 44 yards, showing the kind of floor most backs don’t get.
Through 3 weeks, Jacobs ranks Top 5 in usage: 82% snap share, 86% opportunity share, and 19 carries per game. He’s also Top 3 in red-zone touches.
The schedule opens up starting Week 4 with Dallas, Cincinnati, Arizona, Carolina, & the Giants upcoming. This is your buy window before Jacobs rattles off RB1 production…
#2 Jaylen Warren
After Week 1, it looked like Kenneth Gainwell was foricing a split backfield. By Week 3, that flipped completely.
Warren has seen his snap share climb from 45% to 80%. In Week 3, he handled 24 of 29 backfield touches - true workhorse usage.
The efficiency hasn’t been flashy at 3.1 yards per carry, but he’s creating everything himself: 9 forced missed tackles in Week 3, and nearly all his rushing yards have come after contact. Meanwhile, Rodgers is checking it down to him nonstop, giving him a PPR-friendly profile.
The perception is still catching up. Some managers think he’s still splitting a backfield. The reality: Warren is the every-week RB2 you can still trade for at a discount.
#1 TreVeyon Henderson
Henderson’s quiet start makes him a sneaky trade target. Just 13 total fantasy points through 2 weeks had most managers moving on.
But Week 3 told a different story. After both Stevenson and Gibson fumbled, Henderson took over. From the second half on, he played 26 of 31 snaps, handled 75% of carries, and saw a 12% target share.
Ball security was his calling card in college - over 300 carries without a fumble. That matters when the veterans ahead of him are coughing it up.
The breakout is coming, and New England’s schedule for RBs gets soft down the stretch. Buy Henderson now before he’s the clear starter…
These are 3 running backs I’m sending trades for right now and you should too.
