Week 7 Fantasy Football News To Know

Read this Before Week 7 begins...

Hey there!

As always - I spent 3 hours reading injury reports this week - so you don’t have to.

Here are the most important takeaways for your fantasy leagues in Week 7:

#20 Amari Cooper will play for Buffalo

The Bills gave Amari a ‘crash course’ on the playbook. Amari was once traded midseason from the Raiders to Dallas.

He posted 5 catches for 58 yards & 1 TD in his 1st game with the Cowboys...

#19 Jordan Mason will play

He was a full participant in practice on Friday. It appears Mason is a full go for Week 7.

Start him with confidence…

#18 Mike Evans hasn't practiced yet this week

He injured his hamstring last week & didn’t play much in the 2nd half. Evans is trending to be out if he doesn’t practice on Saturday.

Add Sterling Shepherd if you need a replacement…

#17 Brian Robinson is questionable

But here’s the good news – he was able to practice all week. Robinson is trending to play & it’s a great matchup.

He’ll take on the Panthers - who allow the 3rd most rushing yards per game…

#16 Marvin Harrison is trending to play

He’s suffered a concussion in Week 6. Harrison plays Monday night so there's a good shot he plays.

But if he’s out – pick up & play Greg Dortch…

#15 Aaron Jones is likely to play

He’s battling a hamstring injury - but practiced on Thursday & Friday. Jones averages 18.6 points across 4 completed starts this year.

He’s a must start this week if active…

#14 Diontae Johnson is questionable

He’s battling a rib + hamstring + ankle injury. The good news is Diontae practiced on Friday.

If he’s active – you must start him against the Commanders 30th ranked secondary…

#13 Josh Downs is questionable

He was able to practice on Thursday & Friday. Downs leads the Colts with a 29% target share this season.

If he plays – you start him...

#12 Cooper Kupp is questionable

He was able to practice in limited fashion all week. Kupp is trending to return – if he plays you must start him…

#11 JuJu Smith-Schuster is questionable

But Andy Reid said this is just a precaution. JuJu experienced hamstring spasms in practice on Thursday.

But he’s expected to be a full go in Week 7...

#10 De’Von Achane says he’s good to go

He’ll return from his concussion & enter a great matchup. Achane faces the Colts – who allow the 2nd most rushing yards per game.

De’Von is a must start this week…

#9 Rhamondre Stevenson is a game-time decision

He was surprisingly a full participant in practice on Friday. The Patriots will face the Jaguars bottom-10 run defense this week.

If Stevenson plays – start him…

#8 Nick Chubb is expected to play

It’s a great matchup against the Bengals – who allow the 6th most rushing yards per game. But it’s unknown what Chubb’s role will be.

He’s a tough player to start behind the Browns 30th ranked run-blocking unit…

#7 Jonathan Taylor is OUT

He hasn’t practiced in 3 weeks. Trey Sermon is expected to start for the Colts.

But Tyler Goodson profiles as a better fantasy option…

#6 Travis Etienne is questionable

He was originally ruled week to week with a hamstring injury. But Etienne was able to practice in limited fashion all week.

If Etienne was to miss – Tank Bigsby becomes a Top 20 RB this week…

#5 Rachaad White it trending to play

He practiced each day this week. The Bucs will reportedly use a ‘hot hand’ approach with their 3 RBs.

Bucky Irving is still the best fantasy option in my opinion…

#4 Dallas Goedert is OUT

TE Grant Calcaterra filled in for Goedert last week. Calcaterra ran 89% of the routes & earned 17% of the Eagles targets.

He’s a fine add in deeper leagues…

#3 Jakobi Meyers is doubtful

Last week with Meyers out – the Raiders starting WRs were Tre Tucker & DJ Turner. None of the Vegas WRs topped a 9% target share last week.

Avoid this Raiders WR room if you can in Week 7…

#2 Malik Nabers will play

He’ll face the Eagles – who allow the 7th most receiving yards per game. Philly plays man coverage at a Top 10 rate.

And Nabers ranks 3rd in targets against man coverage (despite missing 2 games)…

#1 Davante Adams is expected to have a full workload

He’ll make his Jets debut against the Steelers. Pittsburgh has the #15 ranked secondary. You can start Adams this week…

Bonus: TJ Hockenson is questionable

He practiced in limited fashion all week. Hockenson is close to returning – yet somehow available in 35% of fantasy leagues.

Add him ASAP if he’s on your waiver wire…

Bonus: Jauan Jennings is out with a hip injury

And rookie WR Ricky Pearsall will make his season debut. The 1st round pick could see meaningful snaps right away.

He should be added in deeper leagues…
