Why I finally built this fantasy football tool

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d be a fantasy football analyst. I just wanted to beat my dad in our family league.

At 12 years old, I joined his league because the old guys needed an extra person.

I barely knew what I was doing, and for some reason, this league had like 20 teams in it. All these crazy rules (utter nonsense like points for completions!), but I was hooked from Day 1.

Was all over mock drafts, prepped hard for the actual draft, loved the competition, and lived for the Sunday sweats. I wanted every piece of the action.

Oh, and spoiler alert…I won.

Through the years, I kept playing, kept researching, kept searching for the exact right info.

In that search for advice - rankings, articles, forums - I noticed it was all over the place. One person said, “Start this guy,” another said, “Avoid him at all costs.”

It was overwhelming. Everyone sounded smart, but none of it felt clear.

Too many opinions. Too many stats. Way too much complication.

At some point, I remember thinking:

“If I’m this confused, I can’t be the only one.”

I didn’t need 10 opinions - I needed one system I could trust.

That idea stuck with me.

Over time, I started putting together my own system - one filtering out the noise and focusing on what helps you win.

Not just rankings for the sake of rankings.

Not just film takes or models or whatever was trending that week.

But a real, consistent process.

Something simple enough for beginners… sharp enough for pros… and honest enough that I’d actually use it myself every week.

I didn’t build The Blueprint to sound smarter than everyone else. I built it because it’s exactly what I wish I had when I was just getting started. 12-year-old Sal would have loved it. You will, too.

Now, people ask me for advice at bars on Sundays. I get DMs from fantasy players around the country who’ve won leagues, placed in the money, or just finally feel like they know what they’re doing.

And the crazy part? It’s still just me.

I write the Blueprint. I update the rankings. I break down the players. I run the YouTube. No team. No interns. No 5 conflicting voices arguing over your draft strategy.

Just one trusted, battle-tested system - built by someone who’s still playing every week just like you.
