Hey!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Today we are discussing the 4 running backs you should add in your fantasy league before Week 1 (or draft them if you haven’t drafted yet):

#4 Jonah Coleman (67% available)

He’s attached to one of the most injury-prone starters in football.

JK Dobbins hasn’t played more than 13 games in a season since 2020. Meanwhile, Coleman has had a strong start to his rookie year with an incredible camp.

His own coach said he’s “seen enough” and didn’t need to see Coleman in anymore preseason game.

If Dobbins misses time, Coleman profiles out as the early down back ahead of RJ Harvey…

#3 Kaelon Black (81% available)

The 49ers rookie was clearly behind Jordan James as the RB2 on this team to open camp.

But James has been injured the past few weeks while Black returned to practice and is standing out.

He’s now the handcuff to CMC, who just took 400+ touches of wear and tear last season.

Remember what Jordan Mason did when CMC got hurt in 2024: 13.8 points per game…

#2 Woody Marks (55% available)

He's coming off a 900-yard rookie season and he's available in 63% of leagues.

From Weeks 4-15 last year Marks averaged 10.5 points per game as a rookie. He also just played 100% of the first-team snaps in the preseason with a 20-yard rushing TD.

Recent reports say the Texans RB room is close to a 50/50 split with Montgomery…

#1 Chris Rodriguez (45% available)

Bhayshul Tuten is the exciting breakout candidate in this backfield.

But let’s not forget that Rodriguez is going to have a large role in this offense to start the season.

Rodriguez has had a strong camp since returning from injury and appears to be the short-yardage and redzone back in training camp.

That’s worth something in a Liam Coen offense, especially on the waiver wire…
